RIFLE MATCH.

ENGINEERS Y. CITY GUARDS. A match was fired on Saturday, at the Cashmere range, between two teams selected from the Engineers and City Guards. The constitution of the teams were as follows : Two officers, one sergeant-major, one sergeant, one corporal, one lance-corporal, one private, and one recruit, not three months in the service, not having been a volunteer or,' cadet previously. At the close of the first match another one was fired between the five highest scorers, on each side five shots each, at 500 yards. This resulted in a second win for tbe Engineers by ten points, the scores being—Engineers, 68 ; City Guards, 58.
