York and Chancellor both stripped, went twice round the outside of the course pretty fast, the oheßnut having the beat of it. Mata was restricted to walking exercise, having been heavily sweated the day previous. Luna and Laertes went a mile and a half on the plough steady. The Agent was sweated, and SilverBtream did three miles slow by himself. Borneo did walking exercise. Bobin Hood was tent twice round the grass at a moderate pace. Mr Brabazon's colt has been thrown out of work. THE BETTING MARKET. The betting market is slightly improving in business. Hornby has been very freely backed for the Derby, and is now at 5 to 2 ; 100 to 15 is offered against any other. For the C. 3.0. Handicap, Mata is quoted at 100 to 20, Maritana 100 to 15, and 100 to 12 any other. For the Cup, Mata is quoted at 4to 1, and Hornby at 5 to 1, his owner haying backed him to win a good stake for the double, Derby and Cup, and in both straight out as well. The doubles on the Derby and Cup, and Derby and Handicap, run from 100 to 1 to 100 to 5.
