BROADFIELD SCHOOL COMMITTEE.

The monthly meeting of this committee was held on Monday. Present —Messrs Harrison (chairman), Benington, Bobinson, Maginnesß, Larcombe, Denison, and Clark. The Chairman read the following correspondence from the Secretary of the Education Board :—(I.) Advising the payment to the credit of the committee at the Bank of New Zealand of £ll 16s 8d on account of salaries for September. (2.) £5 15s on account of incidental expenses. (3.) Enclosing a circular from the Secretary for Education, drawing the attention of School Committees to _ some common causes of error in the preparation of the "Quarterly Attendance Eetnrns." The inspector's report of his examination of the school on the 26th August was laid upon the table. The percentage of passes obtained was eighty-eight. After consideration, a resolution was passed—" That the inspector's report be considered satisfactory."
