THEATRE ROYAL.

" Strnck Oil" was repeated last night. The songs of Master Parlato as John Stofel, especially "My Grandfather's Clock," were greatly appreciated, and Miss Nina Tullocb, in the character of his daughter Lizzie Stofel, most effectively rendered the character hallada and dances popularised by Mrs J. O.Williamson, the original representative of the oharaoter. Mies Emily Fox made up remarkably well for Katarina, and her impersonation was so like life that it was calculated to mislead the closest observer as to her actual age. Master McLean wsb inimitable as the hypocritical canting Deacon Skinner. This evening the performance will terminate in time for visitors from Lyttelton to return by the late train. On Friday night the performance will be under the patronage and in the presence of Sir George Grey.
