FOOTBALL BY ELECTRIC LIGHT.
[P rcss Special Wlre.J WELLINGTON, May 30. The football game by electric light was attempted to-night, but as the arrangements were not a success tho game could not be called very spirited or well contested. There was only one burner instead of two, and the light showed by that did not cover all the ground between the two goals. The ball was frequently in darkness for short intervals, until the reflector was turned on the proper spot. Occasionally too the light went out altogether. An immense assembly of people gathered together to witness the novelty.
