The large expedition has started from here for New Guinea under the auspices of Baron Mackley, jßussian scientist and New Guinea traveller. Flour is unchanged ; Adelaide, 5s 3d ; New Zealand wheat, 4s 3d to 4s 6d ; New Zealand oats, 3s 6d ; brandy, kerosene, rice, tobacco, and sugar are without quotable change. Brisbane, March 23. The barque Manifred, of North Shields, foundered at the Lacepedes in a hurricane on January 24th. The crew reached Cossack in the Government cutter. The ship Runnymede went ashore on Browse Island fej the same gale. It is rumored that other Vessels went ashore. The hurricane was felt severely at Eocbourne, and several houses werp, unroofed.
