GUN CLUB.

The members of the Canterbury Gun Club held a shooting meeting at the farm of Mr J. Mann, St. Alban’s, yesterday. The day was very unfavorable for good shooting, tho wind being very high and tho sun exceedingly hot. As will be scon by the annexed scores, there was some very good shooting indeed, considering tho unfavorable state of tho weather. The following arc tho wcores ; First Sweep of £1 each. Five birds each; twenty-live yards rise. Points. Mr Cookson ... 7 Sir Kirkwood... ( Mr Saunders ... ... ... ... 2 Second Sweep, £1 each. Five birds , twentylive yards rise. Points. Mr Cookson 7 Mr Kirkwood 5 Mr Saunders 5 Third Sweep. Same conditions.

Points. Mr Wagner 6 Mr Kirkwood 6 Mr i. ookf-on 1 This sweep wss divided between Messrs Kirkwood and Wagner. Fourth Sweep of 10s each. Points.
