The items were Wines, £l7 0s Od; spirits, £222 19s lOd; stout, £7 16s 3d ; tobacco, £62 10s ; cigars, £2B 15s; tea, £l7 Is 6d; sugar, £153 Os lid ; goods by weight, £6 0s 6d; ad valorem, £535 12s 9d ; other duties, £2l 16s 3d. At the sittings of the Waste Lands Board hold on Thursday, September 19th, 3067 acres 3 roods were disposed of, amounting to £6135 10s. The la r d is situated as under:—Ashley, 123 acres; Selwyu, 250 acres ; Akaroa, 12*13 acres 2 roods; Ashburton, 1303 acres 3 roods ; Waimato, 147 acres 2 roods.
