The Customs duties collected hero on Saturday September 7th, amounted to ,£3lO 9s lid. The items were Wines, £l7 2s; spirits, £sl 7s 3d; tea, £10; goods by weight, £1 5s *ld; ad valorem, £lßl IGs; other duties, £l2 10s Id. At the sittings of the Waste Lands Board on Monday, September 9th, 3153 acres were disposed of realising £6306. The land is situated as under:— Ashley, 806 acres; Solwyn, 315 acres; Akaroa, 109 acres ; Ashburton, 558 acresdGeraldine, 1248 acres; Waim’ate, 7 acres; Vincent, 80 acres.
