The Customs duties collected here on Monday, May 20th, amounted to £SBB 15s 3d. The items were as follows :—Spirits, £154 Is sd: wine, £ll IBs 7d ; tobacco, £27 7s 6d ; tea, £2l 8s; coffee, £8 6s; sugar, £lls 10s 3d; ad valorem, £lls ; goods by weight, £24 Is 6d ; other duties, £lll 4s. At the sitting of the Waste Lands Board on Monday, May lGth, 3780 acres 3 roods were disposed of, re lising £7501 10s. The land is situated as under:—Ashley, 359 acres ; Selwyn, 907 acres; Akaroa, 105 acres; Ashborton, 2026 acres; Geraldine, 222 acres ; Waimate, 161 acres 3 roods ; two sections in the township of South Eakaia and Ashbnrton, of 1 rood each, were also sold, the former realising £6O 10s, and the latter £32 Bs. COMMEECIAL TELEGEAMS. Timarit, May 21. Wheat, 3s lOd to 4s 2d; oats, 3s to 3s 6d; barley, 4s Cd to 4s 9d; potatoes, £2 7s Cd. The market for fat cattle is well supplied at £l2 per head, equal to 30s per lOOlbs; milch cows in good demand at £l2 to £l3 15s. Very few sheep offering. 800 cross-bred hoggets sold at 7s 9d ; 100 cross-bred lambs at 7s 4d; staunch heavy draught horses at £SO to £6O ; medium, £lO to £4B; light, £2B to 36; hacks, light harness, £5 10a to £3O.
