RIFLE MATCH AT KAIAPOI.
A match took place at the Kaiapoi rifle range on Queen's Birthday, between ten members of No. 5 C.R.V. and ten ex-memhers. The weather was very fine, and as will be seen the average of the firing was good. Five shots were allowed at each range, and any position. Four or five of the ex-membei's had not fired a rifle during five or six years past, and their score is, therefore, a highly creditable one. Of course the members of the corps won, their score amounting to 480, against the other side's 474. The following are the scores : MEMBERS.
