AMUSEMENTS.

THE LYDIA HOWARDE TROUPE. Notwithstanding the inclemency of the weather last evening, there was a fair attendance at the Music Hall, when "The White Cat " was again most successfully performed by the Lydia Howarde troupe. Daring the evening the orchestra introduced some new music, notably the overture from "Zampa" beautifully played, and a new set of German waltzes. Since the enlargement of the band, the audience have been treated to something better than the old stereotyped selections so frequently performed by theatrical orchestras as a rule, and it is now a treat to listen to some of the more modern and lively tunes by Herr Schott and his confreres. The same programme will be introduced this evening.
