Messrs Clifford and Roper report on their usual weekly sale, May (ith, as follows .—Calves, 2s (id to 10s. Pigs—Small stores, 8s to 18s; stores, 20s to 36s ; weaners, 6s Cd to Bs. Poultry (per pair)— Fowls, 3s to 4s 9d; ducks, 4s 3d to 5s 9d; geese, Ss Gdto7s6d; turkeys, 7s to 8s- In poultry demand good, and supply limited. For pigs, demand good, with a fair supply. Last week's prices fully maintained. Attendance very good.

The tender of Messrs J. T. Ford and Co, for the purchase of the land and buildings belonging to the Meat Export Company at Templeton, has been accepted. The price paid is £3OOO. Dunedin.—Mr Henry Driver (on behalf of the New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company) reports for the week ending May 3rd, 1876 : - Fat Cattle—2so head were yarded at the market to-day, and'although this was a large supply, all sold with the exception of about 20. Prices were about the same as last week, best pens of bullocks realising from £9 to £l3 10s; cows from £7 to £ll. or equal to 32s 6d to 35s per lOOlbs for prime quality. Fat calves—Only a few penned, which brought extreme rates, s:iy from 35s to 70s each. Fat. sheep— 3000 of all sorts were penned, and best cross-breds sold at from 12s to Us 6d, merino* 7s to !)s 6<i. or about 3d per lb for former, and 2id per lb for latter. Store cattle—Quotations remain unaltered, say for good bullocks £6 10s to £8; ditto cows, £4 to £<>. Dui'iug the week we have sold 150 head. Store sheep-No alteration on last week's report has occurred, a fair demand still existing for 4 and 6-t)Oth cross-breds, for turnip feeding. Wool—ln the absence of further advices from Europe as to the result of the April sales-the cable being still interrupted—our local buyers are indisposed to buy the small lots offering excepting at very low rates. We had therefore 10-pass in some small lots at our auction this ffternoon. Sheepskins—We had a full attendance of buyers, and sold about 1000 skins at full rates, lambs and shearlings bringing advanced prices. Cross-bred butchers, 2s 3d; mixed merinos, 2s ; lambs, 2s 7d. Dry skins—Cross-bred, 2s 3d to 4s 9d; merinos, 2s 9d to 4s 6d. Hides -Demand steady. Butchers' slaughters, 20s to 21s 6>l ; calfskins, 2s 9d to os; yeai lings, 6s to 7s. Tallow—We sold a few tons country rendered, at from 27s to 295; inferioi, 23s (id. Grain—Wheat is in good demand, and hardening in value, Good milling', 4s Od to 4s 7d; choice. Is 8d to 4s 9d. Oats continue brisk sale at is 9d to Is lod for feed, up to 2s for prime milling. Barley has been luiet this week, only fine samples selling at 4s 6d to 4s 9d; very choice heavy, ss.
