LOSS OF THE ASIA.

By papers received last mail, an exchange saj s, we learn that the fine Iron ship Asia, 1446 tons, is reported missing. The Asia arrived from London at Dunedin last year, with cargo and Immigrants for Otago. After discharging, she loaded a cargo at Newcastle, N. 8.W., and sailed thence on September 3rd for Aden. She has not been heard of since. The Asia was built at Glasgow in 1869, and was valued at £25,000. The Asia had one bulkhead, and had the star and cross attached to her class, denoting that she was built under special survey, and had heavier plating than Lloyd’s rules required. Captain M'Millan, who commanded her, and a crew of thirty men, are supposed to have perished with the ship.
