MUNICIPAL ELECTION.

To the Editor of the Globe. Sir, —I am rather pleased to see that Mr O'Brien has been asked and consented to come forward as a candidate for municipal honors. If he succeeds in hi 3 attempt, I think there will very soon be an end put to all those picnics, excursions, and legal squabbles with the cabmen we have hitherto heard so much of. I for one shall certainly vote for him. Yours, &c, RATEPAYER, March 22nd, 1875. P.S.—I hope there will be a clean sweep made of all the old cobwebs, and that the " obstructives " will be removed with care by the City expresses.
