An attempt to establish a nonstop flight record from Dunedin to Auckland ill a. Moth aeroplane will be made by Captain J. D. Hewitt, of Auckland, on Thursday. Captain Hewetl will leave Auckland to-morrow on a non-stop flight to Wellington a ml. if conditions permit, lie will go on in. Dunedin tomorrow afternoon by another mnisto ptrip. Captain Hewott's plans provide tor liis departure from Dunedin at ■> o’clock on Thursday morning, and for bis arrival at Auckland eight to foil hours later. An extra tana, holding forty-five gallons of petrol, will be fitted to the machine.
