COMMENCING TO-MOItROW SATURDAY The second production to be presented next Monday by the English Comedy Company will be H. V, Esmond’s comedy in three acts, "Eliza Comes to Stay”. This delightful comedy drama met with instant sucess when staged in London and has been acclaimed by the critics as the greatest of its kind since ‘‘Charley’s Aunt”. The Brilliant- cast includes Zillah Bateman as the irresistible “Eliza”, Campbell Capelin as the Hon. Sandy Verral, Henrietta Cavendish as Lady Pennybroke, Frank Bradley as Montague Jordan, Norman Carter as Alexander Stoop Verral and Sylvia Clifton ns \ ere de Vere Lawrence. “The Sport of Kings” lan Hay’s farcical comedy from the Savoy Theatre. London, to be staged on Tuesday, is claimed to be a regular “corker”. Its colloquialisms, droll humor, brilliant satire and farcical situations make it one of the finest things of its kind seen in New Zealand for many years. After the first performance at the Sydney Palace the “Sydney Sun” said: “If it is true that sport is the ruling passion in Sydney “The Sport of Kings” produced for the first time in Sydney at the Palace last night ought to hang out the sign “House Full” every evening during the week. . . It did for many weeks after. The season commences to-morrow night with Efrie Hudson’s London comedy triumph “The Unfair Sex”. On 'Wednesday, the last night of the season the management promise something unique in the daring allegorical play “Outward Bound”. The box plan is open at Tattersall and Bayly’s for the entire season.
