PALACE THEATRE

DOUBLE FEATURE BILL TO-NIGHT. Patrons of the Palace are being thrilled with the brilliance of “Time the Cbmedian,” the latest picture from Metro-Goldwvn-Mayer’s studios, featuring Lew L'odv, Mae Busch, Gertrude Olmstead, and Creighton Hale. It scintillates with sparkling wit and satire—at the expense of modern men and women—and is a striking commentary on the strange restlessness of women since the opening years of this century. It denis with the unhappy adventures of a wife with her husband’s friend, who entered her. life twenty years later as her daughter's suitor. The ending is unusual, and intensely dramatic. Conventional ideas of Western America, as inspired by the typo ot film in which wild shooting and ‘sudden deaths abound, are east aside in the latest Metro-Goldwyu-Mayer picture, “The Prairie Wife,” for the more human side of life, the hardships with which the pioneers must contend, and the bitter cold, the savage beasts, and the temptations that exist even so far from city life. The humanness of the situation is faithfully portrayed by a cast of finished artists. Dealing with the struggle of a married couple to face the tragic drama Fate thrusts upon them, this is an absorbing story of persistence, courage and adventure. Heading tht, cast is Herbert Jtawlinson anil Dorothy Devore, who «re supported by prominent players. These two attractions are finally screening to-night along with excellent supports and grand orchestral selections.
