The Sheffield Shield match, New South Wales against Victoria, was continued in showery weather. -New South Wales, in their first innings, made 469 (Kippnx, not out, 217). Morton took two for 129, Blackie two for 126, Mullett two for 24. Victoria had lost two wickets for 16 runs when, stumps were drawn. The start was delayed owing to the state of the wicket, the foothold for bowlers being precarious.. Kippax played carefully till lie reached his second century. This is li:s fourth double century against Victoria. Victoria opened badly, losing two wickets for 16 runs when an appeal against the bad light was upheld. Hendrv is out for 7.—U.P.A.
