TUMBERUMBA TRAGEDY
MYSTERY UNSOLVED
(Received Oct. 29, 8 p.m.) SYDNEY, Oct;. 29. The Tunfberumba tragedy remains a mystery. The victims are Frederick Wolff, aged 25, and Airs. Turner, aged 24. stated to be a widow with two small children. She was acting as housekeeper to the AVclff family with whom she was on the best of terms. All inmates of the. house ex,cept the two victims left in the morning and, when the Wolff's younger brother returned in the afternoon, he found the woman’s body lying cn the bed with two bullet wounds in the. head. Wolff’s body was on the floor alongside with the top of the head blown off and a rifle between his legs. There is no due as to the cause, beyond a statement that Wolff was suffering from, influenza and is alleged to have been acting a little queerly the previous day.—LLP.A.
