ENTERTAINMENTS.

WORLD’S PICTURES. The usual change of programme will bo presented at the World’s Pictures to-day, and the popular serial “Trey o’ Hearts’’ will be continued. The Flooded. Mine is the title of instalment 13 of this great drama, and shows how Rose Trine becomes aware of her twin sister’s love for Alan Law. and divines intuitively the deepening interest in Judith which Alan feels. The main scenes in this week's series are enacted in an old mine, and in one section Marropliat and his followers overpower Barons and Alan and then conceive a. hellish design. Other specially introduced features make up a firstclass programme, which should be well patronised.

PA THE PICTURES. Another complete change of programme will be submitted by Path© Pictures at His Majesty’s Theatre tonight. The feature subject, will be “Tho Abduction,” a startling production by the Nordisk Company, which deals with one of the most daring episodes in the life of Dr Gar-el-Hama, the master criminal of the century. It is one of the most sensational films which have ever appeared. “ Leap From the Water Tower” will be found a vigorous and exciting railroad drama, showing the largest locomotive in the world. The “Patho Gazette” will show a number of exclusive pictures of the Russian army taken by the Patho photographer around Przcmysl. 'The Cossack charge is a magnificent sigiit. A trio of happy comedies, “His Second Childhood” (Keystone). “Pleasing Uncle” (Thanhmiser), and “'Willie’s Bubble Bust”- (Gincs), will complete a programme which will be certain to be received with keen relish.

OR ERA HOUSE PICTURES. The Opera House was packed from floor to coiling on Saturday evening, when Gal led Back” was screened for the first time here. This wonderful picture is a splendid adaptation of Hugh Conway’s popular novel, and is the greatest English production over attempted. It is perfectly acted and stupendously staged, realistic scenes being shown of old Siberia arid the dreadful salt mines. The drama fol-~ lows closefy every phase of the noveland takes place at the time when Italy was endeavoring to throw off the Austrian yoke. Interesting items are shown in the latest “War Budget, while “Fisherman Kate” is a delightful Vitagraph comedy. “The Heart ot SoTinv 1 is a* beautiful and pathetic child romance. Other pictures included in this attractive programme are very entertaining, and will 0© screened again this evening.

THE RED DANDIES. The Red Dandies, who appear at His Majesty’s Theatre on Saturday next, was Mr Branscombo’s first venture of this nature, and it met with' so much success that other companies were formed, till to-day, no loss than mix Dandies Companies are touring Australia. The Red Dandies who visit us have just completed a most successful season in Auckland of seven weeks, and prior to that they played for eight months in Brisbane, where they presented over 700 separate items, and thus it will he seen that •their repertoire is enormous. The season in Gisborne is limited to three nights, and* the box plan of reserved seats opens' at Miller’s on Wednesday at 9 a.m.
