NAPIER HOSPITAL.

ANNUAL COLLECTIONS

[Press Association.]

NAPIER, Dec. 13

The annual collections under the auspices of the United Friendly Societies in aid of the Napier Hospital funds were made in Napier on Saturday. The weather was broken, but cleared towards the end of the day. The societies are holding a demonstration at Hastings to-day. The weather is unsettled. Two special trains were run from Napier.

The Hospital Trustees have this year undertaken the erection of a. new home for the nurses and a ward for chronic sufferers. The reconstruction of the main building is contemplated at an early date, and a special appeal for contributions has in consequence been made to the public. It is'believed that the response will prove to bo very satisfactory.
