A WHOLESALE LICENSE.

OPPOSED BY NO-LICENSE LEAGUE.

[Press Association.]

FEILDING, Dec. 10

Hugh Roberts applied to the Licensing Committee to-day for a wholesale license. The application was opposed by the No-license League, the Rev. Mr. Beecroft (President of the Methodist Conference), and the Rev. G. Budd, with Mr. R. W. Neale (secretary) appearing to object. The Licensing Committee refused to grant the license till the applicant had started another business, which he said he had in view.
