A GISBORNE CASE. £250 FOR A HAND. [Press Association.] AUCKLAND, Dc-c. 10. The Arbitration Court has awarded Robert Barnett, a briekmaker, of ivaiti, near Gisborne, £2-50 compensation for the loss ot a hand, holding that the claimant’s conduct at his work was not due to disregard of any command, but was the thoughtless act of a man who did not appreciate the danger of interfering with machinery in motion, which did not amount to ■strenuous and wilful misconduct
