GISBORNE CLUB
The Gisborne Lawn Tennis Club have selected the following players from whom will be chosen teams to play against the Whataupoko Club, the matches in all probability wild take place on Saturday, 19th inst.: Mesdames Carmichael, Barlow, and Crawford, Misses Agnew-Brown, McCredie, Adams, Adair, Coleman, de Lantour, .and Bright, Messrs Broadhurst, Barlow, Cover, W. and A. The weather is very hot, and the tennis uninteresting. The match Fisher v. Doust • was postponed owing to a slight indisposition of the former. Fisher practised in the doubles with Wilding during the afternoon. This occasioned some surprise .after the postponement 'of the game with-Doust.
