The women’s suffrage movement is assuming large proportions in the United States. Many of the wealthiest society leaders of New York are supporting the agitation. Dr. A'kid asserted at a. pro-suffrag-ist meeting in New York that if women were denied votes they would ’resort to daggers and dynamiter There is bitter' opposition developing against the movement. ~ Mr. Roosevelt declares that personally he is lukewarm, believing that the majority of women are also lukewarm.
Mr. Taft and Mr. Hughes state- that they are willing to grant the suffrage to women when the latter want it.
