FALLING ON A BROKEN BOTTLE

WANGANUI, Dec. 1

A peculiar accident, which resulted fatally, occurred last evening. Two brothers named Kershaw,, who had had several drinks during the day, were walking home last night at 9.30, when one stumbled on the kerbing at the corner of the street, and fell-on the fragments of a bottle which had fallen out of his pocket and broken. His brother picked him up, and found he had a large wound in the throat. They walked to a doctor, .who dressed the wound, and ordered his removal toi the hospital, where the injured man succumbed' at 2 o’clock this morning.
