DRINKING AMONG WOMEN

AUCKLAND, Dec. 1. The quarterly meeting of the Auckland Licensing Committee, was Hold this afternoon. Tho police report stated that all the hotels were conducted very satisfactorily, and there was no complaint against any of them. The Bench stated that it ivas understood weekly licenses were being reintroduced, and they would do all in their power to stop them. The police reported that they had made 242 visits to hotels, and found in them 713 women, having with them 24 children, hub on no occasion, had a woman, been found under tlie influence of liquor.
