[Press Association.] WELLINGTON, Dec. 1. . The AVelliugton-Cook Islnnds-Tahiti trade' will be inaugurated on 3rd January by tlie Union Co.’s steamer Manapouri. The round trip will occupy three weeks. Papeete will be reached on , ,12th January, and- connection established there with tlie Fumcli 'Government -s subsidised steamer for San Francisco, which is due to reach San Francisco on 25tli January, or -22 'days from Wellington The Manapouri will .also call at Rarotonga, both out and home, leaving there for -Wellington on, 16th January, ~
