POVERTY BAY "RIFLE ASSO-
OIATION
The sixth prize meeting under tho auspices of the Poverty Bay Rifle Association will take place on the Makauri range to-day. Shooting is to begin sharp at 8 a.m., and the programme will consist of the following: Dominion match, 200 yards, 7 shots, 13 prizes value £7; Makauri match, 500 yards, 7 shots, 13 prizes value £7; Kaiti snatch, 600 yards, 7 shots, 13 prizes, value £7; aggregate prizes 10, value £5. The last four prizes in each -match and in the aggregate will he for tyros. The following entries have been received: —Captains Beere and Tombleson, Vet.-Surgeon Burton, Lieuts. Evans, Hamilton, and * Somervell, Q.-M. Sergt, Zaeliariah, Sergeants Raitt and Breingan, Corporals Holmes and Lyford, Lance-Corpl. Walker, Troopers Picken, Tietjen, Beatson, Jennings, Private® Higbant, Canuan, Lawrie, Hingston, Allan, Dickson, iScliieb, Messrs Monk, Twistleont, Sadler, Branson, Harkor (from Waimata Rifle Club). Tile following will compete in tho Teams’ Cup: ■Waimata Rifle Club, Gisborne Rifles (2 teams), and East Coast Mounted Rifles (2 teams).
