COMPLAINTS OF DISCOURTESY. •Some discussion took place at the meeting of the Gisborne .School Committee last night over what members held to be tlio ignoring of the committee b.y the High School Hoard of Governors, concerning the recent proposals in connection with secondary education. The Chairman, tin answer to a question from Mr. Burton, said -that he had not taken any part in the proceedings, nor had lie been notified to attend any of. the meetings. Mr. Barton held that the committee had a right to be consulted in the proposals. He wus by no means against the proposed scheme; in fact, he was all in favor of it, but he held that as the committee formed part or the committee to administer technnhd education in the district, and as the technical subsidy would .undoubtedly be used in connection with the proconsulted in the disbursement of that consulted in the disbursements of that money. He had attended the meetings, but as a member of the Education Board. . 'Other members present complained of the lack of courtesy shown to the Committee by the Board of Governors in the matter, and after further discussion the Chairman was deputed to wait upon the Chairman of the Board to ascertain the reason for the appiront ignoring of the committee.
