At an early hour this morn about 50 feet of the fluming near intake at the Waipori Falls po‘ station carried away, cutting off electric power from Dunedin, steam plant was requisitioned. ; enabled the tram service to be mal tained, though there were sever stoppages. Alanufact-urers, includi several clothing factories, were u able to get the necessary power, carry on. It is expected that pow from Waipori will be available 1 '.nid-day to-morrow.
