ROUGH WEATHER.
SCHOONER KERERU IN TROUBLE. (Special to “Times.”) AUCKLAND, Juno 9. Jho auxiliary sdiooner Kercru struck rough weather on the passago from Gisborne to Auckland on Thursday last. A fresh north-west galo was encountered, and for a couple of hours terrific seas buffeted the little vessel. Tho weather was very thick on Friday morning, and' about 10 a.m. land was made out ahead. Tho master supposed this to be Curvier Island, but subsequently it was discovered to be Mercury Island. The main sail and gib were carried away during the gale, and the vessel put into Mercury 'Bay to effect repairs.
