Press Association. • WELLINGTON, March 16. Cabinet has decided’ to locate the dairy school in the North Island at Palmerston North on land offered bv the Agricultural Association in its show grounds. This carries with it 4o acres presented by the Borough as ail endowment. Another endowment, from which some £3OOO has already accumulated, is 90 acres at Waimate, laranaki. The school will be in charge of Mr. Singleton, acting dairy commissioner. Other sites considered were Ilawera, Stratford, Feilding and Levin. Palmerston’s accessibilitv and the 1 act of accommodation for pupils being available in town, weighed with tlie Government in the choice. INDIGNATION IN LEVIN. Press Association. Hie Manawatu “Times” Levin correspondent states that many Levin citizens are most indignant'’ at tile decision ql the Cabinet in placing the dairy school at Palmerston North' not so much because tliev think Palmerston unsuitable, as 'because the school was promised to Levin by the late Mr. Seddon long before the matter came into general discussion, and therefore before their sites had been offered. It is reported that an indignation meeting will be held in Levin C J!I &duy night next, when it is hoped Mi. field, M. 1., will be present.
