FATALITIES AT AWANUI.

TWO NATIVES LOSE THEIR LIVES.

(Speoial to Times.) PORT AWANUI, Jan. 30. To Sana Morote, a native of high standing, was thrown from his horse on Monday, and died on Wednesday morning. A native named Wi Hunia was drowned this morning. He had swum out to some rodks to get- mussels, and in coming back, when in about four feet of water, he collapsed and .sank. All efforts to restore animation tailed. [Mr. W. A. Barton was notified of the fatalities on Thursday evening, and has directed that an inquest shall bo held.]
