CRICKET
UNION v. C. S. AND CO
‘ The above -teams met at Victoria Domain yesterday. Union won tho toss and -batted' first, making 206 for eight wickets. Lang, the Unioncaptain, displayed bad judgment in not declaring earlier, the game resulting in a draw. Miller (74), for Union, batted splendidly until he had reached 50, after which lie gave several chances. J. Gibson (35), Lang (23), and R. Emanuel (22) also helped to swell' Union’s total. Hallamore (21) -and “Extras” (15) were the chief scorers"for C. S. -and Co., -who had scored 71 for five wickets at the call of time. Following are the scores:

It is proposed to alter the rule ol aim-county cricket as follows: “A cricketer may not play for more than one county within a calendar year; tho penalty for infringement to bo disqualification for two years; a -British colony, dependency, or State shall'ho regarded as a county.”
