Yesterday morning the death occurred at lior res donce, Childei s road, after a short illness, ot Mrs Miller, wife of Mr. Walter Miller, stock inspector. Mr Lenihaii, of the local Pod Office, is to proceed to Wa-ipiro Bay, and Mr Lockie, of the latter place, comes to Gisborne. Major Holdaway, who was at one time in charge of the Salvation Army in Gisborne, and who has been in Australia for a number of years, has been appointed to tlio Wellington province. He intends paying Gisborne a visit in- the near future. Mr A. Clouston, lately with Mr Kano chemist, leaves this morning for Auckland, He is replaced by Mr Morti.s •
