VERDICT OF “ACCIDENTAL DEATH.” Press Association. DUNEDIN, January 10. An inquest on the body of Kathleen Meade, who was shot at St, Kiltla ydsterdav morning was.held to-day. After hearing the evidence of several persons the Coroner in summing up oa j ( | ; “You have hoard all the evidence of the doctor in respect of the direction of the wound and also that of the father of the unfortunate girl os to what is likely to have . taken place; wo may conclude that it was purely an accident. There was ro motive for suicide—: bo was in good health and spirits mid on the best ol : terms with her family. Ihe (Joetor, too. has refuted any possibility of scandal. I think you will be perfectly justified in returning a verdict of accidental death.” Without retiring tlio jury found that the cause of death was hemorrhage occasioned by a revolver bullet wound accidently inflicted by deceased .
