NEW ZEALAND CHAMPIONSHIP MEDALS. P*esa Association. NAPIER, January 10. Tho New Zealand Swimming Association will from this year, supply gold and’ silver medals for the championship races, which are to held in Napier on March 19 and 23. Hitherto medals had to bo provided by the centres allotted the championships. THE TURF. SALE OF YEARLINGS. (Special to Times.) NAPIER, Jan. 10. The eighth annual sale of the Mangatarata yearlings was held to-day at Tattersall’s yards, Hastings. The youngsters that were offered were all well grown, and quite up to the standard of former years. A nice filly by The Possible —Primula (full sister to Probable and Prize .Bloom) brought the top price of the sale, realising 100 guineas, ilr- Jt—Gooseman becoming the owner.
