It was alleged at a committee meeting of the Wellington centre of the NAL Amateur Athletic Association to-night that, three, competitors in events at the centre’s recent sports did not seem to make an honest attempt to win. Owing to the tide on February 20 not being suitable, it was to-night decided not to hold on that date the race tor the sculling championship of the world. The date was not fixed, but tlio race will probably take place a week later than originally intended.
