COMMERCIAL.
Following was the revenue received at the Custom-house last week: Customs duties £917 os, beer duty £46 Is 6d, light dues £7 12s 7d, Harbor Board revenue £73 6s Bd, other receipts £5 ; total, £1049 5s 9d. Messrs Malcolm and Co. report large entries of poultry and produce at their mart on Saturday. The following prices were realised!:—Turkeys Ssi, fowls Is 5d to 2s 2d, ducks Is -9d to 2s, hens and chiclts 4s 6d, eggs Is 2d to Is 4d, butter lOd to lid, plums 3d per lb, new potatoes 2d per lb, cauliflowers 2s 3d per dozen, peas lOd, cabbages Is 9d per dozen' bananas 8s to 12s per case, odd. potatoes os to 6s per sack, small apples 3s per case. The firm also report that they will liofld a Christmas sale of produce, fruit, poultry, and fancy goods on Tuesday next, starting lat 11 o’clock; also 5 tons of table potatoes at the same time, without any reserve.
At the Lowe street Horse Bazaar on Saturday afternoon, there was a large attendance, but the demand was poor, and .a. good number were passed in. Heavy horses sold well from £l2 to £lB, hacks, good sorts £8 to £l2; poor sorts, 30s to £7 10s.
