INCLUDE 28 SERVANT GIRLS. WHO HAVE ALREADY SECURED PLACES. FRESH BATCHES OF IMMIGRANTS TO ARRIVE. (Special to Times). WELLINGTON, Dec. i. The lonic, which arrived to-day, brought 686 passengers, so with her crew of 176 she had nearly 1000 people on board. The list includes nearly 600 immigrants, old and young. Two passengers who appear, to be suffering from tuberculosis, and one who is mentally afflicted, have been detained on the ship. Twenty-eight domestic servants came out in charge of Miss Golding, who is acting for tlio Girls’ Friendly Society of London". Nearly all have already secured places. Next spring Miss Golding intends bringing another batch of domestics. HunIreds of girls, she says, leave London,, for Canada every week under the auspices of the Society. Formerly the destination of the majority was •Joiitli Africa. The Athenic, to, arrive shortly, will bring another batch of immigrants.-
