FIGHTING IN MOROCCO.
FRENCH TROOPS HOTLY ENGAGED.. United Press Association—Copyright PARIS, Nov. 27. 'The commandant at Ujda reports that a force reconnoitring in the Kis region encountered 1500 Arabs. The French were compelled to retreat, after stistainiing eight casualties. _ PARIS, Nov. 27. French accounts of the fighting published by Lo Temps show- that Colonel Telineaiu’s infantry wns almost surrounded on Sunday morning during a mist. ■- Though the machine guns inflicted terrible losses the Arabs renewed the attack with desperate fury and threatened to overwhelm the. camp. Them 200 Spain’s repeatedly charged. They engaged in a fierce hand-tO-struggle, and the French force ultimately compelled file Arabs to retreat.
MOROCCO, November. 27. Tribes hitherto neutral hare -joined the Bonis Uassem tribes. Tlie situation is critical, and reinforcements are urgent, lest the French be overwhelmed. There is great alarm among the Europeans and natives all along the Algerian frontier. ■
Abdul Aziz is co-operating witithe French to crush the Benis Hassell.
