AUCKLAND WOOL SALE.
Press Association. ’ AUCKLAND, Nov. 25. The first wool sale of tlio season under the auspices of the Auckland AA'ool Brokers’ Association will he held to-morrow. .Messrs. Buckland will ofFer a total of 1400 hales, Messrs. Binney 434 bales, the Auckland Farmers’ Union 320 bales, and Messrs. Kingsweß and 00. 104 bales. The Loan and Mercantile Co.’s catalogue will not be finally made up till to-morrow. The quality of the wool so far opened is of good standard, the fleeces being much lighter in grease this year than last. SYDNEY AVOOL MARKET. United Press Association —Copyright (Received Nov. 26. 1.7 a.m.) SYDNEY, Nov. 25. AAiool is dull. There were large withdrawals. Best sorts about held their own, but faulties were difficult of disposal at even reduced prices. Compared with'the opening sales of last season best wools are nowid to Id lower. After paying debenture interest and adding £58,000 to reserve the N.Z. L. and M. A. Co.’s report shows a credit balance of £6562. A dividend of 5 per cent-, is declared ■and £133 carried forward. The directors report that a number of properties realised above the valuations of 1897 i It is proposed to transfer £IOO,OOO of the surplus .to the capital reserve account. The directors announce that the trustees agree to the continuance of the New Zealand Land Association as a separate company.
