Mr R. Emanuel arrived back on Sunday after a short visit to Auckland.

There is not much change to room'd in the condition of Mr. J. Cannon, who was recently badly injured at Tolaga, but bo is not now feeling the pain so much as formerly. ■Mr. J. E. Flood, tho well-known •local sheepfarmer, who recently had a bad attack of influenza, loaves tomorrow for a trip in the North. Ho leaves from Auckland, and by short stages in coastal steamers he will work round to Onehunga. He expects to be away for about a month.
