BOWLING TEAMS FOR AUCKLAND.
[To the Editor.]
Six', —Re the comments on bowling in Satnrdays’s issue I must say your informant is rather premature with his remarks. It seems as if he were trying to work the oracle instead of the committee who are to choose these members for the tournament to be held at Auckland, bub surprise will follow if about three of his chosen pals do not draw the shot and are rejected. My reason for drawing your attention to this is that I think the remarks cast a slur on the committee, they being the best people to judge as they seo the pla3’ of every member. I am sure more credit would have been shown by the writer had he awaited the decision of the committee. Then his remarks would have received attention, but as your paper was printed on the morning and nominations closed that evening, I think lie was wrong in making his choice. However, I hope he will not feel hurt if the Turanganui committee do not select all his chosen ones. I can tell him at the eleventh hour we have another nomination almost a “cert” to go.—l am, etc. Gisborne, Nov. 24
