Information reached Dunedin . tonight that Lionel Terry has escaped from tlio Seacliffo Asylum. Terry was transferred to Seacliffe some months ago, and of late ho has devoted most of his" time to scene paintin". He designed and carried out a beautiful drop scene representing a Norway fiord. Speaking about Chinese he said that having made his protest he lias no intention of repeating the step which led to .liis present position, but he says Ins vieivs regarding them are quite unchanged.
