Earnest - Siggleks was acquitted on a. oli-argo of entering a residence at Pahautanui, and stealing a gc-ld watch and other articles. William James Webster, a middle aged man, and a lad of 17 named Goo, Dunlop, were charged with having been concerned in a number'd house breaking, entering, and stealing oases at W.iniata,: in the Tailr-ipe district. Webster pleaded guilty, and D-uhlon not guilty. Webster admitted . numerous previous convictions in Australia and New Zealand. His Honor sentenced Webtter to two years’ imprisonment on' each of three"charges, the sente ices to he, concurrent. Fanny liohbs, charged wd-h disponing, of the 'body of her dead inlfant with intent to concjal tlie fact that she had been delivered ot the child, pleaded not guilty. The facts -were that accused was employed in a- restaurant, and that the body of the child was found in the laundry after accused was supposed to have been suffering from an attack of cholera. The' jury retirniad a - yordict of not' guilty. WELLINGTON, Nov. 19.

Petitioner stated that (respondent finally left her in 1900, and in 1906 went through the form of marriage in Toowoomba, Queensland. In the case of Ivennard v. Ivennard, adjourned from yesterday, a decree nisi was granted. WELLINGTON, Nov. 19.
A young man named Daniel Desmond O’Brien was charged with stealing £4, a watch, a knife, and a key from the person', of Jacob Sorenson at Danhevirko Prisoner pleaded not guilty to “stealing,” but admitted “taking” thirty shillings of Sorenson’s money. His plea was accepted by the Crown Prosecutor, and prisoner was remanded till Saturday for the probation officer to report. Thomas Hayes, a young man, pleaded not guilty to a charge of stealing a. sovereign case and £5 10s from D. Ailing at Dannevirke. Accused was. found not guilty. CHRISTCHURCH, Nov. 19. At the Supreme Court to-day Rowland Wilfred Langdown was acquitted on the charge of making a false statement to the registrar of- marriages concerning the ago of Ins wife. " James Mclntyre was sentenced to three years’ imprisonment for burglary, and Frank Taylor to 18 pionthS.
