The city has been anxiously awaiting tho result of tho negotiations proceeding all day between Mr. Wade .and the representatives of the proprietors and miners. It is announced to-nigjht that the miners have accepted Mr. Wade’s proposal for the .appointment of a tribunal to settle tho strike.
The proprietors meet to-mor.rowto give tlieir final decision. A report, which, however, ’ lacks official confirmation, states that the proprietors are prepared to accept tho tribunal, that to-marrow’s meeting is only of a .formal nature, and ■tihJ.it the trouble is virtually over.
