Tlio nomination papers in connection with tlio election of n. representative of the workers 011 the Arbitration Court show that Mr. McCullough has secured a majority of the nominations of the trades unions throughout tlio Dominion. Tlio question of appointing him to the position (at present held by Mr. Robert Slater), 111 accordance with the recommendation of a majority of the Unions, is now under tlio consideration of the Minister, for Labor. Mr. Samuel Brown, of Wellington, the former representative of the employers on the Court, was the only person nominated for the position for the ensuing term. Mr. W. A. Pryor, general secretary of tlio Employers’ Federation of New Zealand, has been nominated as the deputy representative of the employers. As there was no other nomination ho will, of course, be elected.
